 John 1:1-9

Introduction

The beginning determines the end of a thing always put God first. Light repeals darkness - which causes formlessness and emptiness [tohum, bohun] and brought perfection to the imperfect world thereof (Gen. 1:2-3).  The light brought life into the dead world (all mankind) (John 1:4).

John's Gospel expounds that Christ was already in existence before creation - the preexistence of Christ [In the beginning was the Word]. Again, it indicates the intimate relationship between Christ and God from the very beginning [the Word was with God] and the fact that Christ is God [the Word was God].

Begin Well.

The first stone in every building, our first thought every morning, the first aim and purpose of all activity. Begin the book of the year with God, and you will end it with the glory of the New Jerusalem. In the beginning, as in the physical creation, your heart and life may seem to be “without form and void.” Do not be discouraged, the Spirit of God is here, hovering over the darkness, and filling you with the Light.

It is the blessed presence of the Lord Jesus that stirs in your heart and give light to your life, (John 1:4). Christ's presence divides between good and evil. So, the child of God must distinguish between Christ and self, shines brightly, and shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life. God’s days begin in the evenings and always end in the mornings.

Light to all People

2 Cor. 11:14 reminds us to be vigilant because the devil masquerades as an angel of light. You may be following, living, walking, beginning, and doing all things with the devil in (cults and occults - erchanker, cherubin and sarafin, Hinduism, Islam, celtic polytheism, heathenism, wicca, lodge, illuminati, etc.) who present himself as light. This will end you exactly where he belongs, 'my brother my sister, shine your eyes'.

John 1:9 puts it as, "the true light that gives light to everyone." The indication of "True Light" tells us that, there is false light. The true light comes when we receive Him (Christ), and believe in His (Christ's) name, that when we become children of the true light (John 1:12-13).

Christ, the light to all people, brings a revealing light. For this, a lot of people sway from the true light with fear of being revealed because their deeds are evil (John 3:19-20)

Do you know who truly you are? What is the purpose of your life on earth? Without Christ, the true light, you wouldn't answer any of these questions correctly.

The true light takes the child of God from darkness into light. (John 12:46)

Conclusion

As we begin the new year, start with Christ who is the light to all people. Give your whole life unto Him to direct you so that you do not stay in darkness. His light brings the true peace you and I crave on earth and establishes the path of eternity for us. Christ, indeed is the true light to all people.

Amen!
