I HAVE ENOUGH

I HAVE ENOUGH
"But Esau said, “I already have plenty, my brother. Keep what you have for yourself.”" Genesis 33:9

This is a statement from Esau after many years of separating from his younger brother who took his birthright and stole his blessings from their father Isaac. Genesis 27:36 "Esau said, “Isn’t he rightly named Jacob? This is the second time he has taken advantage of me: He took my birthright, and now he’s taken my blessing!”" Esau was initially angry and purposed in his heart to kill his own brother for that. Genesis 25:41 "Esau held a grudge against Jacob because of the blessing his father had given him. He said to himself, “The days of mourning for my father are near; then I will kill my brother Jacob.”"

But in the course of time, he (Esau) might have considered the simple advice from Isaac, their father to him in "His father Isaac answered him, “Your dwelling will be away from the earth’s richness, away from the dew of heaven above. You will live by the sword and you will serve your brother. But when you grow restless, you will throw his yoke from off your neck.”" Genesis 27:39-40. This might have helped him take away the bitterness and pains his brother put him through to have had the boldness to tell him, I HAVE MORE THAN ENOUGH.

Precious one, for you to be able to say I have enough tomorrow, you need to pull yourself out of the weight your cheaters, deceivers, destructors may have placed on you. It may have been the sharing of a property in your family in which you were cheated or totally taken out. No matter the years that have gone by, you still feel the pain and blames your unsuccessful life on them. Have you ever had the experience of injustice as a result of a lie, distorted facts, bribery and corruption, etc? You must grow stronger and better than how and where they left you. Someone might have taken something special from you, your fiance or fiancee, even your spouse from you and you're still dying for that. Grow out of bitterness and grow your life so you can say, I HAVE ENOUGH.

Precious one, Scripture tells us, Philippians 4:6,7 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Come to Jesus the Christ and He will grant to you the peace that transcends all understanding. This kind of peace propels us to victory when all hope is lost. When everyone feels you can not make it, they will hear you say one day, I HAVE MORE THAN ENOUGH.

Esau placed his struggle in God's hands and he had His blessings. Invite Christ into your life and let Him reign over you. Paul taught us what brought him success when he says, "But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus." Philippians 3:13-14

Esau is teaching us today that, when we grow restless, that weight people and system has placed on you can not keep you down. Therefore, I welcome you to the divine family of God Almighty and for that matter to be a Child of God. (John 1:12)

 Shalom aleichem...
