DARKNESS SHINES AS LIGHT

If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,”  even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you.
(Psalm 139:11-12).
Humanity share two things in common; God loves us and Satan hates us.
~ God wants only good for us; Satan, only evil.
~ God brings us freedom; Satan puts us in bondage.
~ God wants to build us up and bless us; Satan seeks to always tear us down and destroy us.
~ God brings light into our world; Satan brings darkness to us.
~ God gives us good health; Satan brings diseases (such as COVID-19)
Meanwhile, this must not be viewed as tug-of-war between God and Satan, not close at all! For in His great love for us the Lord takes even the evil/bad things which the devil works and turns them to our benefit! “You meant it for evil,” Joseph said to his erring brothers, “but God meant it for good” (Genesis 50:20). Paul assured us that God works all things together for our own good (see Romans 8:28, and Ephesians 1:11).
The novel corona virus (COVID-19) has brought great hardship in our world today. Yet we cannot lose with the Lord on our side. He gives us light even on our darkest days.
The Psalmist sang, “For You will light my candle: the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness” (Psalm 18:28). Differently stated, the LORD will turn my lockdown into a retreat revival where He'll refocus and rejuvenate me for life and Ministry. God will surely turn the evil COVID-19 into a Glorious celebration for us. The Psalmist adds, "...even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you.

Your night (disease, childless, singleness, rejection, disappointment, financial problems, family issues, etc) shall be a revelation of God’s love about you.
God is so wonderful to take all things, even the ill-intentioned devices of darkness and turn them for our own good.
In Ghana and the world in general, many people feel and assume the closing of church buildings to have cooperate services is a defeat of Christ, the head of the Christian Church. This is rather a retreat for a great revival for the church, in His right time, He'll glorify Himself.
The prophet Micah knew this. Hear his triumphant faith above the condemning voices of accusation – “Rejoice not against me, O my enemy! When I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light to me” (Mic 7:8).

God loves you and I unceasingly. Even in our bad days of this deadly contagious disease, He is ever working all things for our good – to make us more and more like Christ Jesus…the Light of the World. Amen!
